Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. Torrefied European Spruce

As a guitar top, European spruce is powerful like Adirondack, clear like Sitka, and complex and responsive like Engelmann, all of which are employed in various Breedlove guitar lines. Torrefaction, a thermal process that artificially ages the wood while also turning it more resilient, makes these instruments explode with vintage tone, singing like an old friend that's been played by a master for 30 years. With the Organic Collection three years in the making Breedlove owner Tom Bedell literally climbed a mountain to be positive that the exotic FSC-certified tonewoods used in the assortment are harvested in responsible ways that respect the earth, while providing for superior tone that will last a lifetime. High in the windblown Swiss Alps, Bedell watched as European spruce trees were individually selected - each yielding many dozens of top sets - with an eye towards keeping the old growth stands robust for decades to come.

Granadillo Back and Sides

Granadillo, hailed as "La Madera Que Canta," or ‘the wood that sings, comes from the mighty Amazon jungle. It is sourced in Suriname, which has some of the world's most stringent preservation-minded regulations on the harvesting of natural materials. With beautiful blonde sapwood accenting its haunting reddish grain and Cocobolo-like sonic richness, this is "the guitar that sings!"

Concert Body Shape

The Concert is our most popular body shape, favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. This guitar went from the factory to their authorized refurbisher, where it received a full multi-point inspection and expert setup - it is ready to play! There were a few cosmetic finish scratches on the body that were touched-up, and there was a slightly visible bridge repair that was also touched-up - see the photos for detail. The original serial number was replaced with a new one, and the back of the headstock was gently stamped "USED". I acquired this guitar from the refurbisher, and there has been no other owner. This EXCELLENT guitar has not been played except for setup and testing.
